Pengukuran vertikal adalah suatu metode pengukuran untuk mendapatkan elevasi suatu objek yang ukur berdasarkan suatu standar atau acuan benchmark ketinggian tertentu.
Beberapa jenis pengukuran yang dilakukan oleh UP PP BM Provinsi DKI Jakarta, yaitu:
1. Pengukuran Uitzet
Adalah pengukuran terhadap sifat datar untuk memberikan acuan ketinggian atau peil pada rencana bagian atau profil bangunan pada suatu proyek konstruksi untuk digunakan sebagai acuan bagi pelaksana dalam melaksanakan pekerjaan.
2. Pengukuran Peil Control
Adalah pengukuran terhadap sifat datar untuk memeriksa peil atau ketinggian suatu konstruksi yang dilaksanakan di lapangan oleh pelaksana untuk memastikan kesesuaiannya dengan peil rencana
3. Pengukuran Profil Memanjang dan Remiting
Adalah collecting data pengukuran terhadap sifat datar suatu konstruksi atau kondisi lapangan eksisting yang pada akhirnya menghasilkan gambar profil memanjang, profil melintang dan remitting dilengkapi gambar situasi.
